This page is intended to transparently inform you about the sources of the visual content used, in full compliance with copyright law, in accordance with German law (UrhG) and the EU Directive 2019/790.

1. General Principles and Attribution Practices
The Controller is committed to respecting intellectual property and authors’ rights. Any third-party visual content is used only after verifying its licence, ensuring it allows for commercial use, such as for a blog that includes affiliate links.
Unless otherwise stated, the standard attribution practice adopted is the following, placed in the embedded image’s caption or at the end of the post for the cover image:
“Photocredit: [Author’s Name + link]”.
This practice aims to provide maximum transparency and to acknowledge the authors’ work, even when the licence does not strictly require it.
Some images may depict places, events, or situations from a past era and may not reflect the current state.
2. Image Sources
The images published on this Site come from the following sources:
2.1 Images Owned by the Controller
Photographs taken and owned by the Controller do not have specific attributions, and all rights are reserved.
2.2 Images with Creative Commons Licences (e.g., from Flickr)
The Site uses images released under Creative Commons (CC) licences that permit commercial use (e.g., CC BY, CC BY-SA). The licence of each image is carefully checked at the time of use. Images from Flickr or other platforms marked “All Rights Reserved” are never used.
For each image, where technically possible, a link to the original source and the author’s name are provided.
2.3 Images from Free Licence Archives (e.g., Pixabay, Unsplash)
Images from archives like Pixabay and Unsplash are used in full compliance with their specific licence terms, which allow for commercial use. Although attribution is often not required by these platforms, the Controller endeavours to provide it where possible as a good practice.
2.4 Images Generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Some images are created with Artificial Intelligence tools like Ideogram or Gemini. Such images are used in accordance with the terms of service of the respective platforms and with current copyright laws. Any attributions required by the platform are indicated.
For content published from 1 August 2025, each AI image will be marked with the tool used and the date of creation (e.g., “Generated with Gemini – June 2025”).
For pre-existing content, the tool attribution (e.g., “Image generated with Ideogram”) is already indicated in the captions. The date can be requested via email.
The Controller does not claim exclusive ownership of them unless otherwise indicated.
3. Video Content
The videos on the Site are, almost entirely, embedded from third-party platforms like YouTube. It is presumed that whoever uploaded the video to that platform holds the rights to it and has authorised its sharing. Legal responsibility for the original content and its copyright therefore lies with the user who originally uploaded it. The Controller is not responsible for the copyrights of thumbnail images taken from third-party videos.
To improve the Site’s performance and protect your privacy, in some cases a clickable preview image is used instead of a direct embed. This practice reduces the third-party cookies that are automatically installed when the page loads. Note that by clicking on the preview or the video player, you will be redirected to the external platform (e.g., YouTube), which may collect data according to its own privacy policy.
4. Reporting and Takedown Procedure
The Controller acts in good faith in managing content. However, licences can change over time, and unintentional errors can occur. If an author or rights holder believes that an image or video has been used improperly or in violation of their rights, you are invited to report it immediately.
The Controller undertakes to promptly investigate every report and to remove the content in question in a timely manner if a violation is confirmed.

- Governing Language and Translations
This page is provided in multiple languages for your convenience. In the event of any discrepancy or conflict of interpretation, the German language version shall prevail and be considered the sole legally binding version.

This page is governed by German law. For any dispute, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Traunstein, Germany.
